Do I need experience to be able to work in a school?

No you don’t need experience of working in schools. In particularly when working with SEND it is more about the person and their personality than their first hand experience.. We also place people from different backgrounds such as; Psychology Graduates, Sports Coaches, Youth Workers, Care Workers and many more!

Can TA Recruitment help me become a Teacher?

Unfortunately we cannot help you become a teacher whilst working for us. We can help you find a school to gain experience so you can hopefully go on to do the relevant teaching course to become a teacher. Please get in contact with us to find out more information on this.

What type of work do you offer?

We offer a variety of work to suit everyones needs. Some of these include; Daily Supply, Short Term Cover, Long Term Cover, Contract and Permanent. Alongside this we can place both full-time and part-time staff as long as you can do a full school day. We do also have ad-hoc work as Tutors as well as work through the half-terms.

What locations do you cover?

We cover the whole of the UK so no matter where you are based our team will be able to find you a position within your local area. We always try to keep staff within a 30 minute drive or public transport from their home address.

How much do I get paid?

Your pay will all depend on the role and your experience. We pride ourselves on ensuring all our candidates are paid fairly. We complete regular reviews with the schools to get feedback on our candidates so we can reward them for their hard work with regular pay increases (capped on each role).

How long does it take to be cleared for work?

The time to be cleared varies for each person and it is very difficult to give a time scale as this can depend on the DBS Service and References which are out of our hands. Our average time to clear a candidate is 1 week but this can be longer. It is important you provide us will all the correct documents and information promptly so there are no delays int he process.

I can't find a job that suits me, do you have any others available?

Although we try to post all our vacancies on our job board on our website this isn’t always possible. If you cannot find something suitable for you please get in contact with us as we are always looking for staff and we will be able to find you a position in your area.

How do I get paid?

Our payroll provider Orbital will contact you and they will register you with them and will pay you every Friday for the work you did the previous week. They will provide you with your payslips and deal with any queries you may have. they are available form 7am -8pm Monday to Friday for a chat.
